Why Do Some People Love Thunderstorms?

Many people are surprised to learn that enjoying thunderstorms is not uncommon. There are several psychological reasons why some people are fascinated by thunder and lightning. These reasons vary from person to person.

1. Awe at the Power of Nature

Thunderstorms remind us of the immense power of nature.

People who enjoy them often experience:

  • A sense of wonder.
  • Respect for nature’s strength.
  • Excitement from witnessing something beyond human control.

2. Enjoying the Thrill

As long as they are in a safe place, some people enjoy the excitement that thunderstorms bring.

They may also enjoy:

  • Roller coasters.
  • Horror movies.
  • Other adrenaline-filled experiences.

3. Appreciating Their Beauty

Some people see thunderstorms as beautiful rather than frightening.

They may be drawn to:

  • The dramatic flashes of lightning.
  • The deep rumble of thunder.
  • The atmosphere created by rain, wind, and dark clouds.

There are even storm photographers and “storm chasers” who travel specifically to observe and photograph thunderstorms.

4. Feeling Calm and Secure

Although it may seem surprising, thunderstorms can make some people feel relaxed.

This may happen because:

  • The sound of thunder reminds them of comforting childhood memories.
  • Rain and low-frequency sounds are soothing.
  • They feel safe indoors while nature rages outside.

5. A Strong Connection with Nature

People who are emotionally sensitive often feel deeply connected to natural phenomena.

They may:

  • Notice subtle weather changes.
  • Feel inspired by nature.
  • Experience thunderstorms as a reminder of Earth’s living energy.

6. A Symbol of Renewal

In some cultures and spiritual traditions, thunder represents:

  • Cleansing.
  • Renewal.
  • Powerful energy.

Some people even feel that the air becomes fresher and their mind clearer after a thunderstorm.

A Final Note.

Loving thunderstorms does not mean ignoring their dangers. Thunderstorms can be extremely dangerous, and anyone who hears thunder should seek shelter in a substantial building or a car .

Transform Your Posture with Japanese Reset Therapy

– Catherine from Canton de Soleturn

Client Experience

Catherine came to JRT with persistent pain in the upper back (between the shoulder blades), the right hip area, and the shoulder/upper arm. As a recorder player, she also experienced arm pain related to prolonged playing posture.

After a series of JRT sessions, she kindly shared this review:

“Mariko’s gentle but deep-acting treatment has done wonders to relieve my back and neck pain, and rebalance my posture. I can heartily recommend her!”

The photos below compare her posture at the 1st session and after the 14th session. They illustrate the postural changes observed during her course of treatment.

Every person is different, and results vary, but it is always rewarding to see improvements that help clients move more comfortably in their daily lives.

Approach to “root cause

Many people suffer from shoulder and back pain…, but the pain itself is just the result of an underlying issue. The real “root cause” often lies in chronic tension elsewhere in the body. For example, shoulder pain may be caused by long-standing tension in a different part of the body, which disrupts overall balance and manifests as pain. Japanese Reset Therapy® addresses this by releasing chronic tension of muscles, targeting the root cause, and providing long-term relief.

Transforming Posture with Japanese Reset Therapy Techniques

— Kristina from Geneva

posture problem
“I first discovered The Japanese Reset Therapy on the Internet. I had a posture problem in my back/shoulder/neck area. There were some before/after pictures of a lady with the same problem that I had and the results were amazing. I asked for my first appointment with certain skepticism. As soon as I arrived to the first session, Mariko made me feel calm and comfortable. She carefully listened what my problem was. The massage/manipulation she made on my body were gentle but from the first session I could feel the improvement in my posture. Mariko found the source of my problem what was not in my back, but in my hips and affects other parts of my body. She has found other parts of my bodies that I have had problems long time ago with out any information from my side, it was surprisingly good. At present we are working in the whole body and I am very happy with the results that I feel in my daily life. I highly recommend Mariko and Japanese Reset Therapy. “

Sciatic nerve pain
“I was suffering from sciatic nerve pain since 2019 and in the summer of 2021 I was no longer able to bend down at the sink to wash my face. At this point, I was also waking up many times at night when I changed my position in bed as the pain woke me up. My first session was on a Friday and I could not believe that I was able to bend down again by Monday. After 6 sessions, I am pain free. After each session, pain decreased day by day for me. The sessions are noninvasive so initially you really wonder if this will have any effect on your body but just be patient and give it few sessions, hopefully you will have your body back like me!”
